From the time Kim and I got married until we left L.A. in 2002, I made my living as an actor (details at IMDB.com). Early on, I also developed an interest in writing and journalism.
I was a news anchor for several years at an award-winning cable operation in West L.A., then at an NBC affiliate in Billings, Montana, and at other media outlets. After moving to the Monterey Peninsula, I became chief reporter for a local newspaper and wrote a regular column for its successor paper.
For quite a few years, story writing was just a sideline, but it kept asserting itself in my life, and I finally realized how much I love it. I'm now happily preoccupied with finishing a novel and a play.
This year, Kim and I left California and have found peace and joy in western North Carolina.
